Was that too T Swift?

For those of you who booked a wedding with The Wedding Nest in 2023 we may have already met! For those I haven’t met yet, hi! I’m Carli, Morgan’s assistant. I started helping Morgan in 2022/2023 after my own wedding in October of 2022! Although we have been friends for years thanks to our husbands being good friends we really hit it off during that time! Turns out we both have a little OCD when it comes to all things weddings! I love a good timeline and of course the dessert table!

Outside of helping Morgan, I work full time at a Chevrolet dealership in Waukon, Iowa. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dogs, seeing our family and friends and being on the farm with all of our animals!

Helping Morgan with a day of coordination has opened my eyes to what goes on during the wedding day. Let me give you a run down of my favorite parts!

First and foremost, caffeine…and a lot of it. We love a good local coffee shop or a Starbucks.
Seeing the bride and her mom getting ready and embracing the time together that morning. It’s a big day for not only the bride but for both families as well.
As always the first look is high on the list, although this is a private moment. Helping the bride out the door or to where the groom is and feeling all the emotions. It’s a special moment.
Walking into the reception and seeing it complete, wow. The work that goes into making a building special for that couple is so cool! Every wedding is different, no two are alike.
The first dances, again..the emotions. The first dance, father daughter, mother son and any other special dances. It’s like the start of a new beginning for the couple.
Last but not least, the food. Good snacks, a good meal and of course the desserts. I won’t shy away from a snack or dessert table.
