Holidays are approaching, believe it or not, and we’re hosting our second Portside Holiday Sip & Shop in Harpers Ferry, IA, on Saturday, November 30, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.. Conveniently, that day is small business Saturday.

What better time to re-introduce myself and tell you more about how the business has grown and evolved. First off, I’m Morgan Ewing. In May of 2021, an official change of ownership happened and I brought The Wedding Nest from its loving home in Charles City to Northeast Iowa, now Harpers Ferry. While planning my own wedding, the business venture sort of just worked when I realized my own love of planning and decorating.

Portside Wedding Expo is right around the corner, mark your calendars for March 23rd. A few important things to note and we wanted to make sure it’s all included right here for you.

Grooms are “just along for the bride.” Whether the wedding has happened, is coming soon or the question hasn’t been popped, the theme throughout is that the groom just wanted what the bride wanted and they trusted their future wife’s decision.
